    Wishbone Theme Song
    What's the story, Wishbone?
    What's this you're dreaming of?
    Such a big imagination
    On such a little pup!

    What's the story, Wishbone?
Do you think it's worth a look?
    It kinda seems familiar
Like a story from a book!

    Shake a leg now, Wishbone!
    Let's wag another tail!
    Sniffing out adventure
    With Wishbone on the trail

    Come on, Wishbone
    What's the story, Wishbone?
    What's the story, Wishbone?
    What's the story, Wishbone?
    What's the story, Wishbone?
    *Wishbone barks*

    Chapter 1
    Josephine Meets Joe and Wishbone

One sunny day in Oakdale a Jack Russell Terrier named Wishbone and his owner named Joe Talbot were walking through Downtown Oakdale when all of a sudden 28 year old Joe bumped in to a 25 year old girl named Josephine Granger.
    JOE: Oh, I'm sorry.
JOSEPHINE: No, I'm sorry I wasn't watching were I was going.
When Joe looked at Josephine and fell in love with her. Josephine fell in love with Joe.
JOE: My name is Joe Talbot and this is my dog Wishbone.
JOSEPHINE: Hi, Joe. My name is Josephine Granger.
    WISHBONE: Hi, Josephine.
JOSEPHINE (as she bent down and petted Wishbone): Hi, Wishbone.
JOE: So are you new in Oakdale?
    JOSEPHINE: Why yes I am?
JOE: When did you get here?
    JOSEPHINE: I arrived only today.
    JOE: Where's your family?
    JOSEPHINE: I came here alone.
JOE: Do you have a place to stay?
WISHBONE: She could stay with us Joe.
Joe didn't hear Wishbone say that but Josephine did.
JOSEPHINE: Joe could I say with you?
JOE: I was just about to tell you that you can stay with me. I'm sure my mom won't mind.
JOSEPHINE: Can I meet you mom, Joe?
    JOE: Sure you can.
So Joe, Josephine and Wishbone walked off together and walked to Joe's house. A few minutes later they walked inside.
JOE: Mom, I'm home and I met a new friend today.
Joe's mom came out of the kitchen.
JOE'S MOM: Hi, Joe. Who's your new friend?
JOE: Mom, this is Josephine Granger.
JOE'S MOM: Hi, Josephine. I'm Ellen Talbot.
JOSEPHINE: It's nice to meet you Mrs. Talbot.
    ELLEN: Please call me, Ellen.
Just then their next door neighbor Wanda Gilmore walked in.
    WANDA: Knock, knock.
    WISHBONE: Uh, oh Wanda alert.
    ELLEN: Hello, Wanda.
    JOE: Hi, Miss Gilmore.
    WANDA: Hi, everyone.
ELLEN: What brings you over here, Wanda?
WANDA (as she points to Josephine): Her.
    JOSEPHINE: Me?
WANDA: I saw you walking over here with Joe and Wishbone and I thought that I might introduce myself.
JOSEPHINE: Oh, ok. I'm Josephine Granger, by the way.
WANDA: I'm please to meet you Josephine. My name is Wanda Gilmore. I'm live right next door.
ELLEN: So Josephine where's the rest of your family?
JOSEPHINE: I came alone. My family is back home.
    WISHBONE: Where is home?
    ELLEN: Where is home?
WISHBONE: I just said that Ellen.
    JOSEPHINE: Lazy Town.
    JOE: Lazy Town?
JOSEPHINE: Yes, but don't let it's name fool you.
    ELLEN: Why is that?
JOSEPHINE: Well because of my older brother no one is lazy in Lazy Town. In fact my older brother and my younger sister always sings a song called "No One's Lazy In Lazy Town."
    JOE: Can we hear it?
JOSEPHINE: Well not right now you can't?
    WANDA: Why not?
JOSEPHINE: My brother and sister aren't here and they are the only ones that can sing it.
A few minutes later Wanda went back to her house and Josephine asked Joe if she could play with Wishbone outside.
JOSEPHINE: Joe, I was wondering if I can play with Wishbone outside.
JOE: Sure of course you can. I'm going to help my mom with dinner.
    JOSEPHINE: Come on, Wishbone.
    WISHBONE: But, dinner?
JOSEPHINE: Wishbone come, on. I have a treat for you.
WISHBONE: Did you say treat? I'm coming!
Now Josephine and Wishbone are outside.
    JOSEPHINE: Here's your treat Wishbone.
Wishbone took the treat from Josephine and ate it.
    WISHBONE: Thank you Josephine.
    JOSEPHINE: You're welcome, Wishbone.
WISHBONE: Can you hear me, Josephine?
JOSEPHINE: Yes, yes I can, Wishbone.
    WISHBONE: That's cool.
    JOSEPHINE: Why is that?
WISHBONE: Well everyone here in Oakdale never listens to the dog.
JOSEPHINE: Well now you have someone who can hear you.
WISHBONE: Let's go tell Joe that you can hear me talk.
    Wishbone ran off.
    JOSEPHINE: Not yet, Wishbone.
Wishbone stopped dead in his tracks.
    WISHBONE: And why not?
JOSEPHINE: I'm not ready to tell Joe or anyone else that I can hear you talk. I think that we should wait for the perfect moment to tell them.
    WISHBONE: Are you sure?
    JOSEPHINE: Yes I'm sure.
A few minutes later it was dinner time and after dinner Wishbone said good-night to Josephine.
    WISHBONE: Good-night, Josephine.
    Josephine was spacing out.
WISHBONE: Josephine, earth to Josephine. Come in Josephine.
JOSEPHINE (snapped back to reality): Oh, good-night Wishbone.
    WISHBONE: What were you doing?
    JOSEPHINE: I was just thinking.
    WISHBONE: Thinking about what?
    JOSEPHINE: Joe.
    WISHBONE: Why Joe?
JOSEPHINE: Well, Wishbone, I'm in love with Joe.
Later that night Joe fell asleep in his bed dreaming about Josephine. Wishbone fell asleep at the foot of Joe's bed dreaming about food, of course. Ellen told Josephine that she could sleep in their library.
ELLEN: You can sleep in here during your stay with us.
    JOSEPHINE: Thanks, Ellen.
    ELLEN: Well, good-night, Josephine.
JOSEPHINE: Elle, can I talk to you for a moment?
    ELLEN: Yeah sure you can.
    JOSEPHINE: Thank you.
ELLEN: What do you want to talk to me about?
JOSEPHINE: Well I just want to say that I'm in love with your son Joe.
    ELLEN: You are?
    JOSEPHINE: Yes, yes I am.
ELLEN: Does Joe know you're in love with him?
    JOSEPHINE: No he doesn't.
    ELLEN: Why not?
JOSEPHINE: I was too shy to tell him.
A few minutes later they said good-night to each other and Josephine fell asleep dreaming about Joe.
