-Meanwhile outside the hospitle, shayla is sitting on a bench by herself, thinking. Dw then walks up-


Dw: hey you, whats going on? i know things have been a bit stressful for the past few days, but there seems to be something else?...

Shayla: *silent...just thinking to hersel, and then looks up to Dw*
I feel like some of the things happening is kinda my fault....i kinda wish all this bad stuff would stop happening so my family and i, and you of course, could just live a peaceful non over dramatic life..ya know?...

Dw: *nods his head*

Allysa: *texts Shayla*

Hey, Chad thinks this thing with BDB is his fault. When you're ready, come back and help us out in convincing him. Love you sis.

Lisa: Chad, it's not your fault. If it's anyone's fault, it's mine for not being awake. I could have woken up. I actually could have.

Jon: It's not your fault either. This kind of stuff happens. Right, Allysa?

Allysa: Yeah, we'll always have trials. God puts us through these. Sorry for throwing the religious side into it, but it's true.

Shayla: *texts back*
i'll be in there soon.

Dw: I see a park across the street. maybe you just need to clear you mind for a few minutes. *takes her by the hand* lets go walking for a while, like we use to. it'll get you mind off of things for about 10 minutes.

shayla: *nods*

Chad and Lisa are arguing outside the room. Allysa sits down next to BDB, wishing she had an old friend with her, like Shayla. Jon laughs at something on the TV. He's kinda upset about BDB, but the rest of him's thinking about Shayla.

Allysa: I hope everything turns out alright. This is really stressful on Shayla and me. I can't sing, and Shayla's probably think this is her fault. We can't handle much more.

Jon: Now, why can't you sing?

Allysa: I forgot to tell you? I have this vocal cancer. (not really, just for the story) I'm not singing unless everyone's around me. If I sing, I strain my vocal chords. I've got surgery in two weeks.

Jon: Oh. Well, that recording was good. The one you were playing the other day? Was it the one you sang with your boyfriend's band?

Allysa: The Undead? Yeah. I wrote that. It's called We've got God.

-outside across the street at the park-

shayla: *hand in hand with Dw* I'm worried about bob, and my sister allysa. i didnt think this could be so hard for me to cope with but all that has happend is just making me want to pull my hair out.
*crying a little*

Dw: *takes shayla in his arms* hey, i know its hard but going through things like this is part of life. stuff happens and some of that stuff, you cant control. I promise you though, that things will turn out alright if you just believe they will.

shayla: *still crying* i hope so. *burries her face into Dws cheast still in er amrs holding on for dear life*
you've helped me feel so much better. i'm glad i didnt loose my best friend.

-outside across the street at the park-

Lisa and Chad are still fighting. You can barely hear them now, but the fight's getting stronger. Jon and Allysa are in their same positions, except Jon moved closer to Allysa, noticing the resemblance between Shayla and Allysa.

Jon: Did you tell Shayla?

Allysa: No, cause Shayla doesn't seem to notice if I'm not singing. She's that worried about Bob and Dw. I'm sure Dw has some permanent damage. I'm going to have some after my surgery.

Jon: They might not know. Shayla was in a hurry to find out what was going on.

Allysa: You're right. I'm not going to stress Shayla out anymore though. Tell her I'm leaving for my church's Boot Camp when I leave in three days. I'm recording for the single with The Undead. You heard the original recording, the one for Angel.

Jon: So your nickname will be...?

Allysa: Get a load of this... I'm going to be Albino Black. Think about it.... We've got God featuring Albino Black

Jon: Why Albino Black?

Allysa: 'Cause I'm a part of a black family down in Tennessee, so Angel's cosin calls me black, and white meat. I look albino when I'm with them.

Jon: That's cool. You think you'll sing after your surgery?

Allysa: Depends on the damage.

???: Allysa? Are you here?

Allysa: Malachi? You got my message?

???: No, actually I'm Kev.

Allysa: Kev? Why you whispering? No one's actually asleep.

Kev: Oh, okay. Malachi told me to check on you. You're coming back with us? You have family in the hospitle here. We can record-

Allysa: No we can't. I've got surgery. We have a deadline. BDB's going to be okay. I already know. We're all praying. Just don't tell my friend Shayla what's up.

Jon: Who's this?

Allysa: This is Kev. He's one of my friends. I met him one day at Fulton, at Malachi's band concert.

Jon: Hey, Kev, I'm Jon.

Kev: Kev. Nice to meet you.

shayla: *still crying in Dws arms*
*sniffles* i think we should get back to bobs room.

Dw: *nods and walks back with shayla hand in hand*

You can't hear Lisa and Chad's fighting anymore, unless you open the door. Jon's moved protectively closer to Allysa. Kev has sat down across the room. BDB has shifted slightly in his bed. He moaned someone's name softly, but no one could make it out.

Allysa: *finishing the diagnosis story* ....he said, "I'm sorry mam'm, you're going to lose your voice if you don't get the surgery."

Jon and Kev: Wow.....

Kev: So you're going to- *Shayla and Dw come in* Oh, are you Shayla? I'm Kev.

Jon: *gets up quickly, seeing how red Shayla's eyes are, worried face* You okay Shayla? You look like you were crying.

Allysa: *thinks to where Shayla hears* She was.... If only I could tell her without her being anymore stressed.

shayla: *nods* i was but im alright now.
*walks over to jon and allysa*
*to kev* yeah thats me. nice to meet you kev.
*turns to allysa*
im sorry i left sis..i had to get some fresh air..im just...i just donno if i can take anymore..ya know..

Allysa: I know...

Kev: *cell rings, pulls cell out and looks at text* It's from Malachi. He wants you to meet him by the lake in the park across the street.

Allysa: I can't leave yet. I've got to say something before I do anything else.

Jon: I think I know.

Allysa: Everyone gather around.

Chad and Lisa enter.

Lisa: Sorry guys.

Chad: Yeah, sorry.

Allysa: Anyways.... I have to go record for my boyfriend's band, The Undead. I'm leaving in three days, and won't be back for about a month in a half at the most. Can you guys survive without me?

Everyone's faces, even Jon's, who knew this was the annoucment, got worried. Chad and Lisa looked the most worried.

Lisa: Not so sure.

Chad: Do you really have to?

Jon: What's up with the, um, Boot Camp?

Kev: These guys are a little off without you, I can tell...

shayla: *worried face..and a bit shakey*

Dw: *takes shayla in his arms again*

Jon: *places hand on Shayla's shoulder* It's going to be okay, Shayla. I promise. When Allysa's ready to explain everything out exactly, I'll be sure to let you know what's going on. *blushing, obviously hiding Allysa's secret and something else*

Allysa: I'm scared that if I say too much that we'll have mental breakdowns here. Well, I have to go meet my impatient boyfriend. I'll be back guys. Love you! *thinks to where Shayla can hear* I can't say anything more....

Jon: Shayla, whatever you need, I'll take care of it. I promise. *still blushing and serious*

shayla: *Places her hand on jons* thank you jonny.


sis, whatever it is your gonna tell us..i guess i can handle it.

Allysa: *turns, confused look* I didn't say anything..... *leaves to meet with Malachi*

Kev: Well, I'm going to go meet with my buds. I'll see ya'll later.

Jon: *blushes even more*

shayla: it was nice meeting you kev. *sighs and has to sit down*

Kev: Nice meeting you, too. *leaves*

Jon: *sits down next to Shayla* You sure your okay?

shayla: *looks up to jon* yeah...im just really really tired. i guess all this worrying can make someone exausted huh?

Jon: Yeah, especially when you have to deal with your best friends constantly coming and going. You notice how Allysa comes and goes?

Lisa and Chad leave the room. Everything is quiet except for Jon and Shayla's conversation and Dw and BDB's slow breathing.

Dw: *cell rings* brb...thats mom calling -exits room-

shayla: yeah i do notice

Jon: I wonder about her sometimes. She never explains thing to me. Except today. Today she told me everything. I wish I was allowed to tell you. I really do.

BDB Turns his head slightly. His breathing speeds up slightly. Allysa is heard yelping from the park. She is obviously having fun.

shayla: yeah me too...

*smiles a little* well at least she sounds like shes having fun right now.


*looks down*

This takes place outside at the park, by the fountain at sunset.

Allysa: *voice cracking* Ah! Quit it! *giggles*

Malachi: *throws water balloons at Allysa* Nope, you got to give up!

Allysa: NEVER! *falls over and bursts out laughing, voice still cracking*

Malachi: *drops the rest of the balloons and lies down next to Allysa* I missed you. I really did.

Allysa: *slows the laughing* I missed you, too.

Malachi: You know, I left church with a prayer request for you and your family here.

Allysa: *blushes* Thanks, baby.

Malachi: I love you.

Allysa: *voice returns to normal* I love you, too.

Back inside, Jon's now put his arm around Shayla.

Jon: Are you alright? You seem like you're upset. You know you can trust me, right?

shayla: *looks up at jon and nods*
Im fine honestly.... *looks outside where Dw is stil talking on the phone*

Jon: Hold on a sec. *pulls out phone and texts someone, quickly get a reply* Do you want to know what's really going on with Allysa?
