In Desperate Times....

Hey guys! Here's yet another story I'm going to start.

Characters
Jennifer A. Carol- Oldest sister. Life just doesn't seem to be going well for her. High School's almost past and College is almost here. Her best friend left for Harvard the year before, since she was already a senoir, and her boyfriend was acting funny. For Jen, these are desperate times.

Allysa C. Carol- Middle sister. Shy for her age, she is a freshman in High School. She is not coming in with tons of friends, but with one. She plans to join the Anime club with her friend, Alainy Tierson, so she can (hopefully) make some great friends. For Allysa, these are desperate times.

Kisa M. Carol- Youngest sister. She is a happy go lucky third grader, but her birth caused the girl's mother SERIOUS health problems. She may be happy by day, but when she goes home, she faces all heck trying to take care of her mother. For Baby Kisa, these are desperate times.

Autumn S. Carol- The girls mother. Very ill.

Solstice W. Carol- The girls hard working father. Named after the Winter Solstice, on which he was born.

lol, yeah. Sorry, I have a good idea for where I want to go, but other things come to mind for other stories as well.

Kisa couldn't sleep. Her heart raced. What was this feeling? Was something wrong in her house?

"Allysa, are you awake?"

"I am now, Baby Kisa. What's wrong, sis?"

"I feel like something's wrong. Are you sleeping okay?"

"Not really. I'm having some nightmares, but I'm sure it's just nervousness."

"Do you think he's coming back?"

"Probably not, Baby Kisa. I hope so, but probably not."

"Okay. Good night sissy."

"Good night Kisa."


Meanwhile, Solstice took on the responsibility of his daughter's powers.

"Good job, Solstice." said a dark figure.

"Anything to protect my girls. Anything."

"No harm will come to them. Cross my heart."

"Not your fingers."

"Your smart enough to say that."

"Yes. My daughters and wife are everything to me."


The next day, Jen and Allysa walked into school, for the first time together as sisters. Alainy ran over and greeted her freshman friends, as did David to Jen. Alainy took Allysa off to meet Pamela and Alisia, former president and vice president of the Anime club. David and Jen sat at their usual table in the atrium. At that same moment, Kisa was putting on her "Everything's okay" look at school for her friends, and Autumn was passed out on her sick bed, waiting for her husband to come home from a "work interview".

Matthieu had lived in France for almost a year. He'd been Allysa's one and only when she had nothing else. Then he was forced into exile. He'd never get to talk to her again.

Or would he?

These are desperate times.
