Chapter 1
Mitch Saves Mitchie’s Life

One day Mitch Buchannon is sitting on the lifeguard tower over looking the water. Hobie walked to his father.
“What’s wrong dad?” Hobie asked.
“I don’t want to talk about it.” Mitch answered.
All of a sudden there heard a scream. Mitch jumped off the lifeguard tower and ran into the direction of the scream. A 26 year old lady is standing on the shoreline panicking. Mitch looked at the lady.
“Is that your Jennika Taylor?” Mitch asked.
“Yes it is.” Jennika answered.
“What are you screaming for?” Mitch asked.
“My best friend Mitchie Granger decided to go for a swim and now she’s stuck in a rip current.” Jennika answered.
Mitch looked out at the water and noticed Mitchie trying to get free from the rip current. Mitch got into the water and started to swim towards to Mitchie. A few minutes later Mitch reached Mitchie. Mitchie is tried of struggling so she about to drown when Mitch reached her. Mitch grabbed Mitchie just she goes under and swam with back to shore. Mitch laid Mitchie on the sand. Mitchie isn’t breathing.
“What now?” Jennika asked.
“There’s only one thing to do.” Mitch answered.
Mitch sighed than started to give CPR to Mitchie. A few minutes later Mitchie started to cough up water and opened her eyes. Jennika sighed happily.
“Thanks Mitch.” Jennika said.
“No problem, it’s all part of the job.” Mitch replied.
Mitchie looked around.
“What happen?” Mitchie asked.
“You decided to go for a swim than got caught a rip current but Mitch Buchannon because he’s a lifeguard.” Jennika answered.
Mitchie suddenly noticed Mitch and fell head over heels in love with him. Hobie walked over.
“Are you coming dad?” Hobie asked.
Mitch sighed.
“Yes I am.” Hobie answered.
Hobie suddenly noticed Jennika and Mitchie.
“Who are you two?” Hobie asked.
“My name is Jennika Taylor but I prefer to be called Jenn and this lady next to me is my best friend Mitchie Granger.” Errica answered.
“It’s nice to meet you and I’m Hobie Buchannon.” Hobie said.
Jennika looked at Mitch.
“I never knew had a son.” Errica replied.
“Well now you do.” Mitch said.
All of a sudden J.D., Lani, Cody, April, Manny and Skylar walked over. J.D. noticed Jennika right away and fell madly in love with her.
“Hi there, I’m Jack Darius but I prefer to call J.D.” J.D. said.
“My name is Jennika Taylor but please call me Jenn.” Jennika replied.
“I’m Jennika’s best friend Mitchie Granger.” Mitchie said.
Mitch noticed the way that J.D. is looking at Jennika.
“Could we talk alone?” Mitch asked.
“Yeah sure.” J.D. answered.
Mitch and J.D. went out of earshot.
“Are you in love with Jennika?” Mitch asked.
“Yes I am and she’s most beautiful girl I ever laid on eyes on.” J.D. answered.
“Well it won’t easy winning over her because she’s been hurt a lot in past from guys that claimed to love her.” Mitch said.
“I’m going to show her that I’m different.” J.D. replied.
“That will take awhile.” Mitch said.
Mitch sighed and looked over at Mitchie. J.D. noticed Mitch looking over at Mitchie.
“Are you in love with Mitchie?” J.D. asked.
“Yes I am.” Mitch answered.
“How in love?” J.D. asked.
“Madly and completely in love.” Mitch answered.
“Wow I never thought see the day.” J.D. said.
Mitch shook his head than walked back to everyone. Mitchie smiled.
“Thanks for saving me.” Mitchie replied.
“You’re very welcome.” Mitch said.
Mitchie walked home and inside. Mitchie’s mother Terri walked into the hallway. Mitchie let out a long sigh.
“What’s the matter with you?” Terri asked.
“I’m in love mom.” Mitchie answered.
“What’s his name?” Terri asked.
“His name is Mitch Buchannon and he’s a lifeguard at the beach here.” Mitchie answered.
“Wow that’s cool.” Terri said.
“He also saved my life when I got a caught in a rip current while I was swimming.” Mitchie replied.
“Well that’s good because I want to lose you and neither would your father.” Terri said.
Colby walked into the room.
“What are you talking about?” Colby asked.
“Mitchie met a guy named Mitch Buchannon who happens to be a lifeguard and he saved her life today when she got caught in a rip current.” Terri replied.
“Wow that’s great because I won’t want to lose you.” Colby said.
~Meanwhile at Jennika’s house~
Jennika is up in her room with the door open. Jennika’s mother Naylea walked by the door. Jennika sighed. Naylea walked into the room.
“What’s wrong?” Naylea asked.
“I almost lost my best friend today but thanks to Mitch Buchannon she’s safe.” Jennika answered.
Naylea walked into the room and sat the down next to Jennika on her bed. Naylea smiled and hugged Jennika.
“What would you have done if Mitch wasn’t around?” Naylea asked.
“I would have saved her myself.” Jennika answered.
Naylea smiled. Jennika’s father Daniel walked by the room and noticed his wife. Daniel smiled.
“What are you doing in here honey?” Daniel asked.
“I was talking to Jennika.” Naylea answered.
Daniel walked over to Naylea and pulled her close to him. Naylea smiled and hugged Daniel really tight. A few hours later it’s nighttime. Naylea is sleeping in Daniel’s arms. Mitch is bed dreaming of Mitchie and Mitchie is bed dreaming of Mitch. J.D. is dreaming of Jennika one day being his girl.

That was a great chapter. My favorite part was when Mitch saved Mitchie by giving her CPR.
