Chapter 1
Just Don’t Feel The Love Anymore

One day a beautiful younger lady named Janetta Kenyon moved to Colorado Springs with her family. Janetta decided to check out the town. Janetta starts walking along where Dr. Mike’s office is. Michaela is just leaving for her lunch break and seen Janetta. Michaela walks over to Janetta.
“Hi there, I’m Dr. Michaela Quinn.” Michaela said.
“My name is Janetta Juliette Kenyon but I prefer to be called Jane.” Janetta replied.
“It’s nice too meet and welcome to Colorado Springs.” Michaela said.
Sully walked over to them and wrapped his around Michaela. Janetta looked at Sully than at Michaela.
“Is he your husband?” Janetta asked.
“Yes he is and his name is Sully.” Michaela answered.
Sully looks at Janetta.
“Who are you?” Sully asked.
“My name is Janetta Juliette Kenyon but I prefer to be called Jane and “I just moved here today with my family.” Janetta answered.
All of a sudden Teresa ran by in tears. Michaela looked at Sully.
“What do you think that was all about?” Michaela asked.
“I’m not sure.” Sully answered.
Michaela runs after Teresa.
“Teresa wait up.” Michaela yelled.
Teresa stopped and turned just as Michaela caught up to her.
“Why are you following me?” Teresa asked in tears.
“I want to know what’s wrong with you.” Michaela answered.
“Jake and I got into a fight.” Teresa said.
“About what?” Michaela asked.
“He’s just been so rude and nasty lately. I thought he loved me I heard in his sleep and she said that he wanted to be dead.” Teresa answered.
“I can’t believe Jake would say something like that.” Michaela said.
“Well he does.” Teresa replied.
Michaela sighed.
“Why I am getting the feeling that there’s more to this than meets the eye?” Michaela asked.
“Alright you want the truth well I just don’t feel the same about Jake that I did the past.” Teresa answered.
“What are you going to do about it?” Michaela asked.
“The only I can think of is to divorce him and move away from here.” Teresa answered.
Jake suddenly appeared.
“Teresa, I said I was sorry and it won’t happen again.” Jake said.
“Jake, stop lying because I know that it will happen again and I’m not putting up with anymore.” Teresa replied.
“What do you mean?” Jake asked.
“I mean I don’t want to be married to you anymore.” Teresa answered.
“Why not?” Jake asked.
“I just don’t love you like I use to.” Teresa answered.
“To tell the truth I don’t love you like I use to either.” Jake said.
Teresa sighed.
“Alright than let’s go fix this.” Teresa replied.
Jake and Teresa go down the town hall and get divorced. Teresa packed up her stuff and left Colorado Springs for good. A few hours later it’s nighttime in Colorado Springs. Jake is dreaming about finding some else. Michaela and Sully are sleeping in each other’s embrace. Janetta is dreaming of finding someone to love.

Chapter 2
Falling Madly In Love

It’s the next day. Janetta walks to Michaela’s clinic and knocked on the door. Michaela opened the door.
“Good morning Jane.” Michaela said.
Janetta sighed than sat on the steps going into the clinic.
“Yeah it might be for you.” Janetta replied.
“Why are you in such a bad mood?” Michaela asked.
Janetta sighs.
“I just want to have someone that loves me like Sully loves you that’s all.” Janetta answered.
Michaela sat down next Janetta.
“Have ever been in love?” Michaela asked.
“Yes I have but it never last long because they all end up cheating on me or falling out of love with me.” Janetta answered.
Jake walked over to them.
“Good morning Dr. Mike.” Jake said.
Michaela smiled. Janetta looked at Jake and fell madly in love with him.
“Morning Jake.” Michaela replied.
Jake noticed Janetta and looks at Michaela.
“Who is this sitting beside you?” Jake asked.
“This is Janetta Juliette Kenyon but she prefers to be called Jane and she just moved here with family.” Michaela answered.
“Hi Jane, my name is Jake Jesse Slicker.” Jake said.
“It nice to meet you.” Janetta replied.
Jake walked off. Janetta watched Jake go. Michaela noticed Janetta watching Jake.
“Do you like him?” Michaela asked.
“That won’t be the word that I would choose.” Janetta answered.
“Are you in love with him?” Michaela asked.
“Yes I am.” Janetta answered.
“Well you’re in luck.” Michaela said.
Janetta looked at Michaela.
“What do you mean I’m in luck?” Janetta asked.
“Jake and his wife Teresa got divorced yesterday so he’s single now.” Michaela answered.
“Why did the get divorced?” Janetta asked.
“They just didn’t love each other anymore.” Michaela answered.
Michaela got to her feet and went inside her clinic. Janetta sighed than started to sing “Holding Out For A Hero” by Bonnie Tyler.

Jake’s mouth drops open in shock.
“Wow she has the voice of an angel.” Jake said.
Hank snicks up behind Jake.
“What are you doing?” Hank asked.
Jake screamed.
“Hank don’t sneak up on me.” Jake answered.
“You didn’t answer my question.” Hank said.
“I was listening to the girl singing.” Jake replied.
“What new girl?” Hank asked.
“Her name is Janetta Juliette Kenyon but she prefers to be called Jane.” Jake answered.
“Where is she?” Hank asked.
“She’s over there.” Jake answered as he pointed to Janetta.
Hank looks at where Jake is pointing.
“Wow she’s beautiful.” Hank said.
“Hank, don't you be saying those kinds of things about her.” Jake replied.
“Why not?.” Hank asked.
"I just don't appreciate it." Jake answered.
"You're already married." Hank said.
“There’s where you’re wrong.” Jake replied.
“What do you mean?” Hank asked.
“Teresa and I got a divorce yesterday because we just didn’t love each other like we use to.” Jake answered.
“Where is Teresa?” Hank asked.
“She left Colorado Springs forever.” Jake answered.
“That means you have nobody now.” Hank said.
Jake smiles a little.
“I know that but there is someone that I kind of like.” Jake replied.
“Who might that be?” Hank asked.
“I’d rather not say just yet.” Jake answered.
Jake walked off. Hank just stood there looking at the spot where Jake just was.
“What are you looking at?” Horace asked.
“I’m looking at the place where Jake was just standing.” Hank answered.
“Where did he go?” Horace asked.
“I don’t know.” Hank answered.
Horace sighed.
“I heard that Teresa and Jake got a divorce.” Horace said.
“Well you heard right because they did and Jake is in love with someone else already but he won’t tell who it is.” Hank replied.
Horace sighed again than returned to Myra and Samantha. Jake is sitting outside the Gold Nugget. Sully walked over to Jake and sat down next to him.
“What’s wrong with you?” Sully asked.
“I can’t stop thinking about someone.” Jake answered.
“Who can’t you stop thinking?” Sully asked.
“The new girl Janetta.” Jake answered.
“Do you like her?” Sully asked.
“Yeah I do ever since I heard her singing early and she has the voice of an angel.” Jake answered.
“Are you going to tell her how you feel?” Sully asked.
“Yeah I will eventually but not right at this moment.” Jake answered.
Sully smiled than left to find Michaela. Jake spotted Janetta looking all sad. Jake got to his feet and walked over to her.
“Is something wrong?” Jake asked.
“Yeah there is because I know that my father won’t like it when he finds out that I’m in love with a guy that’s older than me.” Janetta answered.
“Why do you say that?” Jake asked.
“He’s very strict when it comes to any of his children being in love with someone older than them.” Janetta answered.
“How old are you anyway?” Jake asked.
“I’m 25 years old.” Janetta answered.
“How old is the guy that you’re in love with?” Jake asked.
“I’m not sure but I haven’t had the nerve to ask him.” Janetta answered.
“Well I’m sure that he won’t mind if you did.” Jake said.
“How old are you?” Janetta asked.
“I’m 38 years old.” Jake answered.
Janetta sighed.
“I should be getting home otherwise my father will be having a fit.” Janetta said.
Jake smiles.
“I’ll see you around.” Jake replied.
Janetta smiled than got up and heads home. Janetta walked through the door just as her father Marco appeared.
“Where have you been?” Marco asked.
“I was in town getting to know the townspeople a little more.” Janetta answered.
Janetta walked up to her room and fell onto the bed. Janetta’s mother Kenisha is walking by the door. Kenisha walked into Janetta’s bedroom and sat down on the bed.
“Is something bothering you honey?” Kenisha asked.
Janetta nods her head. Janetta gets to her feet and closes her bedroom door than joins her mother on her bed again.
“I’m in love with the mayor of Colorado Springs Jake Slicker.” Janetta answered.
“What’s so bad about that sweetie?” Kenisha asked.
“He’s 13 years old than me so there’s no way that dad will let me go out with him.” Janetta answered.
“I’ll deal with your father when he finds out.” Kenisha said.
“Thanks mom you’re the greatest.” Janetta replied as she gives her mother a hug.
Kenisha smiled than leaves Janetta’s bedroom. A few hours later Janetta fell asleep dreaming of being Jake’s girlfriend. Jake is sleeping in his bed dreaming of making Janetta his girlfriend. Sully and Michaela are sleeping in each other’s embrace.

Chapter 3
Letting Out Those Feelings Hidden So Deep

It’s been a few days since Jake and Janetta met. Jake is sitting outside the Gold Nugget thinking about Janetta. Hank walked out of the Gold Nugget.
“What are you doing now?” Hank asked.
“I’m thinking about that girl that I love.” Jake answered.
“Have you told that you’re in love with her yet?” Hank asked.
“No I haven’t told because I’m scared that she won’t feel the same about me.” Jake answered.
Hank shook his head than left. A young man the same as Janetta walks over.
“Hi there, I’m Lyron Stuart Kenyon.” The young man said.
“Are you related to Janetta Kenyon?” Jake asked.
“Yeah she’s my twin sister.” Lyron answered.
“I’m the mayor of Colorado Springs and my name is Jake Slicker.” Jake answered.
“It’s nice to meet you.” Lyron said.
Janetta walks over to them.
“Good morning Jake.” Janetta replied.
“Morning Jane.” Jake said.
“How are you today?” Janetta asked.
“I’m just fine.” Jake answered.
“That’s good and I’m fine too.” Janetta said.
Lyron walked off and headed back home.
“What are you doing today?” Jake asked.
“I’m not doing anything which is very boring I might add.” Janetta answered.
Jake smiled and goes to head back inside the Gold Nugget. All of a sudden Janetta collapsed to the ground with a thud. Jake turned around and got a worried look when he seen Janetta on the ground. Jake picked up Janetta in his arms and carried her to Michaela’s clinic.
“DR. MIKE.” Jake yelled.
Michaela walked off the clinic.
“What happen to her?” Michaela asked.
“I’m not sure because one minute she was fine than next she fainted.” Jake answered.
“Bring her please.” Michaela said.
Jake carried Janetta into Dr. Mike’s clinic.
“Where do you want her?” Jake asked.
“I want you put her on the table in front of you.” Michaela answered.
Jake sighed than put Janetta on the table where Dr. Mike told him too. Michaela checked Janetta out. Michaela looked at Jake.
“I can’t find anything wrong with her except that she’s dehydrated.” Michaela said.
Janetta suddenly opened her eyes and looked around.
“Where I am?” Janetta asked.
“You’re in my clinic.” Michaela answered.
“How did I get in here?” Janetta asked.
“You fainted and Jake took you in here.” Michaela answered.
Janetta looked at Jake.
“Thanks Jake.” Janetta said.
“No problem.” Jake replied.
Jake walked over to Janetta and Michaela looked at her.
“I could find anything wrong with you except that you are dehydrated.” Michaela said.
Janetta sighed deeply.
“Is there something else that made you faint?” Jake asked.
“Yes there is but I don’t like talking about it.” Janetta answered.
“If you are planning to stay I’ll need to know.” Michaela said.
Janetta sighed again.
“Well it’s like this if I’m out in the sun too long I just end up fainting for no reason.” Janetta replied.
“Oh I understand now. You have a case of heat stroke syndrome.” Michaela said.
“Yeah I guess that’s what you could call but I don’t like making a big deal about it.” Janetta replied.
Janetta got to her feet and left Dr. Mike’s clinic. Michaela looked at Jake.
“Go after her Jake.” Michaela said.
Jake jumped to his feet and ran outside. Jake looked around but there’s no sign of Janetta anywhere. Hank walked over to Jake.
“Who are you looking for?” Hank asked.
“I’m looking the new girl Jane.” Jake answered.
Hank smiled.
“I saw her a few minutes ago.” Hank said.
“Where was she going?” Jake asked.
“She was heading in direction of the church.” Hank answered.
Jake ran in the direction of the church. Janetta is sitting on the steps going into the church. Jake sat down next to Janetta.
“What’s wrong?” Jake asked.
“I can’t take hide my feeling inside anymore.” Janetta answered.
“Can’t take what anymore?” Jake asked.
“The feelings that are my heart.” Janetta answered.
“For who?” Jake asked.
“You.” Janetta answered.
Jake glared at Janetta.
“Did you just say me?” Jake asked.
“Yes I did because I’ve been in love with since the first moment I met you.” Janetta answered.
Jake smiled.
“That’s good to know because I’ve been in love with you every since I first heard you sing.” Jake answered.
“Really you have?” Janetta asked.
“Yes really I have.” Jake answered.
“How come?” Janetta asked.
“You’re the voice an angel when you sing and it totally melted my heart where I heard you.” Jake answered.
Janetta smiled. Jake wrapped his arms around Janetta than pulled her close and kissed her. A few minutes Jake broke the kiss. Janetta smiled. They sat in silence for a little while than Janetta went home and so did Jake. Janetta walked up to her room than fell on to her bed and let out a long happy sigh. Janetta’s mother Kenisha is walking by than door and noticed her daughter all happy. Kenisha walked into the room and shut the door behind her.
“What’s got you all happy?” Kenisha asked.
“I admitted my feelings to Jake today and I found that he’s in love with me too.” Janetta answered.
“That’s good sweetie.” Kenisha said.
Janetta went downstairs and sat on the couch. Janetta let out long sigh just as her father Marco walked into the room.
“What’s wrong honey?” Marco asked.
“I was just thinking about someone.” Janetta answered.
“Who would that be?” Marco asked.
“Jake Slicker.” Janetta answered.
“I would like to meet this Jake Slicker guy.” Marco said.
Janetta sighed than got her feet and left the house. Janetta walked to the Gold Nugget. Hank is standing outside. Janetta cleared her throat.
“Have you seen Jake?” Janetta asked.
“Yeah he’s inside.” Hank answered.
“Could you get him to come out here?” Janetta asked.
“Yeah sure I guess.” Hank answered.
Hank walked inside. Jake is sitting by the wall. Hank walked over to him.
“What would you like?” Jake asked.
“That new girl wants to talk you outside.” Hank answered.
“Her name is Jane not that new girl.” Jake said.
Jake got to his feet than left and went outside where Janetta was. Janetta got to her feet and hugged Jake. Jake smiled.
“My father wants to meet you.” Janetta said.
Jake sighed.
“Okay let’s go.” Jake replied.
Janetta and Jake start to walk. A few minutes later they reach Janetta’s house. Janetta opened the door and went outside. Jake followed Janetta. Kenisha and Marco walked into the hallway.
“Mom, dad this is Jake Slicker.” Janetta said.
Marco looked at Jake than at Janetta. Marco grabbed Janetta’s arm and took her out of earshot.
“Honey, I don’t want you hanging out with him.” Marco replied.
“Why dad?” Janetta asked.
“He’s way too old for you and he doesn’t seem to your type at all.” Marco answered.
“Dad, I really like him and I want to be with him so bad.” Janetta said.
“I don’t care if you do because what I say is final.” Marco replied.
Janetta started crying and ran out of the house. Jake ran after Janetta. Kenisha walked over to Marco.
“What did you say to our daughter?” Kenisha asked.
“I just told that I didn’t want you being with Jake because he was too older for her and that what I say is final.” Marco answered.
Kenisha shook her head.
“You had no right to say those things because she loves Jake just the same that I love you.” Kenisha said.
“But he’s just too old for her.” Marco replied.
“That’s so familiar because that’s what everyone said about when I fell in love with you.” Kenisha said.
Marco sighed.
“Oh yeah you’re right it was.” Marco said.
“Are we happy?” Kenisha asked.
“Yes of course because we love each other.” Marco answered.
“I don’t see why Janetta being in love with an older man is such a big deal than.” Kenisha said.
~Meanwhile outside~
Janetta is sitting the ground by the barn. Jake walked over and sat next to her. Jake his hand and wiped the tears from Janetta’s face.
“Please darling stop crying because tears just don’t suit you at all.” Jake replied.
“I can’t believe he would say those kinds of things.” Janetta said.
“Who are you talking about?” Jake asked.
“I’m talking about my father.” Janetta answered.
“What did he say?” Jake asked.
“He told me that he didn’t want me being with because you were too old for me and what he says is final.” Janetta answered.
Jake sighed.
“Well than I’ll go.” Jake said.

Jake stopped in his tracks and turned around. Jake walked over to Janetta than pulled her close and kissed her. Janetta just smiled. A few minutes later Jake broke the kiss. Kenisha walked over to them.
“I talked your father about what he said and I got him understand so now he’s okay with it.” Kenisha said.
“Thanks so much mom.” Janetta replied.
“No problem sweetie.” Kenisha said.
Kenisha hugged Janetta. Kenisha looked at Jake.
“What Mrs. Kenyon?” Jake asked.
“Please call me Kenisha and you better treat my daughter well.” Kenisha answered.
“Oh don’t worry Kenisha I will treat well.” Jake said.
Kenisha smiled than left. A few hours later it’s nighttime. Janetta is bed dreaming of her future with Jake. Jake is bed dreaming of his future of Janetta and her moving in with one day. Sully and Michaela are sleeping in each other’s embrace. Colleen and Andrew are sleeping in each other’s embrace too.
